This school year, pre-K through 12th grade students can take part in Adagio Health’s Education Programs that span various health and wellness topics to help guide young people in living healthy lives.

SNAP-Education Program

Adagio Health runs Pennsylvania’s SNAP-Education program funded by USDA’s Food & Nutrition Service. SNAP-Ed aims to educate on nutrition, physical activity, wellness, and public health. Eligible schools with over half of students receiving free/reduced-price meals or CEP designation can access SNAP-Ed resources at no-cost.

Direct Student Education: Evidence-based nutrition education about adapting healthy eating behaviors and incorporating physical activity through interactive lessons delivered as a customizable series or unit each school year to students from PK-12th grade.

Staff & Family Engagement: Workshops that can be tailored for school staff, parents and
caregivers of students on topics including healthy meals, cooking skills, food resource
management, and general nutrition knowledge.

School-Wide Wellness & Supporting Projects: Support to the whole school through various wellness initiatives and technical assistance through the Alliance for a Healthier Generation that facilitate positive policy, systems, and environmental change. Examples are promoting school meals, National Nutrition Month, active transportation, Harvest of the Month, wellness policy development, Farm to ECE, Farm to School, School Garden support, and grant opportunities with technical assistance.

Period Empowerment: Menstrual Health Education

These informative workshops are designed to empower tweens, teens, and young women with knowledge about their bodies and menstrual health. Adagio Health experts guide participants through understanding the various phases of the menstrual cycle, recognizing patterns, and identifying when something might be amiss. In addition to the educational component, the workshops also provide valuable resources on how to obtain free period products. Whether sanitary pads, tampons, or menstrual cups are needed, attendees will learn where and how to access these essentials at no cost, ensuring that everyone
can manage their periods with dignity and comfort.

By attending these workshops, participants will not only gain practical knowledge and skills but also become part of a supportive community that values menstrual health and wellness. Workshops and classes are provided at no cost.

Teen Outreach Program (TOP)

Adagio Health’s Teen Outreach Program (TOP) is a nationally recognized, evidence-based program empowering teens with the tools and opportunities to build social-emotional skills, strengthen relationships, and avoid risky behaviors such as drugs & alcohol. Using interactive lessons facilitated by trained, caring adults, TOP youth become prepared to
