GoErie: Erie County reports major decline in syphilis cases

Erie County has seen a dramatic decline in its number of reported syphilis cases so far in 2026.

Fewer than five of the sexually transmitted disease cases have been reported to the Erie County Department of Health through June 30, according to the health department’s website.
