Adagio Health’s Farmers Market Work Spotlighted by Erie Media

Adagio Health’s Farmers Market Program recently received local news coverage from two Erie outlets, Erie News Now and Your Erie, spotlighting an important initiative that helps seniors in our community access fresh, nutritious produce.

Adagio Health supplied local produce, healthy recipe cards, and other nutrition resources for seniors to use with their vouchers at the Greater Erie Community Action Committee’s (GECAC) distribution event at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, PA. There, GECAC’s Area Agency on Aging distributed checks through Pennsylvania’s Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program.

Seniors aged 60 and older who meet federal income guidelines can receive vouchers from their local senior centers. WIC participants enrolled in the program, and children starting at 6 months of age, are also eligible for farmers market vouchers worth $30, redeemable at any Adagio Health pop-up farmers market.
