Our Brand New Mobile Health Unit

Adagio Health is excited to announce the arrival of our new Mobile Health Unit! The Mobile Health Unit is a 36-foot long vehicle which houses a modern and comfortable exam room. Also on-board is a lab for blood draws and other tests or screenings as well as waiting and restrooms. Clinical staff include a certified registered nurse practitioner and medical assistants. Onboard we will be able to provide a wide range of health care services along with referrals to other providers as needed.

This unit was created to bring our services to medically underserved areas. While it will be based in Seneca, Venango County Adagio’s Mobile Health Unit will travel to multiple locations throughout western Pennsylvania and will primarily serve these twelve counties: Armstrong, Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Elk, Forest, Jefferson, McKean, Mercer, Potter, Venango, and Warren.

“We are so proud to be able to expand our reach into rural counties where access to health care is often scarce,” said president and CEO BJ Leber. “Now, those residents don’t have to drive long distances to access the care they need. Adagio Health is coming to a town near you!”

Women, men and teens are eligible to receive services through Adagio Health Mobile Health. Services are confidential, and patients can expect to receive excellent care in a comfortable, welcoming setting.  Special safety protocols are in place to keep patients and staff safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Our intent is to have the unit on the road four days a week, for 10-hour days, so we can provide a full day of clinical care," said Senior Director of Family Planning Services, Linda Snyder.

It is estimated that the unit will be able to serve between 12 and 14 patients a day with the following available services: breast and cervical cancer screening, family planning and reproductive health care, birth control (dispensed on-site), pregnancy testing, STD testing and treatment, HIV testing, basic infertility services, Adagio HealthCheck (basic health screenings and adult immunizations) and more. Many services are available regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.

It is our privilege to provide services to every patient who chooses us for their care, and we are so excited to have the chance to provide this care closer to home than ever. To stay up to date on Adagio Health and our Mobile Unit follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter!
