At Adagio Health, women's health care is both confidential and comprehensive. Adagio Health provides family planning services so that women in western Pennsylvania are able to freely plan if and when to become pregnant. Adagio Health is the largest single direct provider of family planning services in the state. Adagio Health directly operates more than 20 medical offices and oversees family planning funding for nearly 50 other sites throughout western Pennsylvania. More than 65,000 women use Adagio Health's family planning services each year, preventing more than 11,500 unintended pregnancies and averting more than 6,000 abortions.

Adagio Health's family planning services include complete physical examination, walk-in pregnancy testing, birth control, emergency contraception, breast and cervical cancer screening, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, and comprehensive gynecological care.

Family planning services are always free to teens 17 years old and younger. Fees for those 18 years and older are charged on a sliding fee scale based upon income and family size. All our family planning offices accept Medical Assistance, all Medical Assistance managed care plans, and most commercial insurance plans.

In an effort to continue to educate our community, Health Literacy Cards have been created to provide step-by-step instructions on how to properly use five different methods of birth control and emergency contraception.
