Adagio Health is helping to make the healthy choice the easy choice for families and individuals across Western PA. Our team, comprised of registered dietitians, nutritionists, nutrition assistants, and breastfeeding peer counselors provide nutrition education to all ages through the Power Up and WIC programs.

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program is a supplemental nutrition program for families that can provide nutrition information, breastfeeding support, and referrals to helpful health and social services. WIC is for pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women and children up to the age of five.  
 
Each month Adagio Health’s WIC program serves approximately 9,000 clients in five counties. Pennsylvania WIC is funded by USDA. USDA is an equal opportunity provider.

Power Up

Power Up is a SNAP-Education program funded by the USDA. Adagio Health’s Power Up nutrition education program encourages students (Preschool through 12th grade), adults, seniors and communities to choose healthier foods and live active lifestyles. Through direct, evidence-based nutrition lessons, participants learn strategies to adopt healthy habits that will have an impact on their current and future health. Power Up educators are working with community partners to create healthier environments by influencing local policies, systems, and environments Power Up is provided at no-cost to eligible locations.
